During this special four-week session, participants will learn a whole body approach to recovery – including mindful based yoga classes for healing from addictive behavior (alcohol, sugar, drugs, tobacco, gambling, eating disorders, shopping, exercise, anxiety, co-dependency, depression, illness, stress, grief, or trauma.) Through guided, gentle postures and movement, participants will learn how their breath can help them be more open to what is happening in the present moment, embrace what is, and live a freer, more fulfilling life. • Emotional regulation
• Distress & tolerance
• How to be effective in interpersonal relationships

This class offers approximately 1 hour of therapeutic sharing and a 1 hour yoga practice. Classes will be held outdoors on Fusion Yoga Studio’s beautiful redwood deck (weather permitting, indoors if not.)

Classes are open to people with all levels of yoga experience and at all stages of recovery. 

Investment: $99 for 4 sessions
Early-Bird Rate: $90 (by July 15)
Drop-In Rate: $30 (space permitting)

About Julie: Julie is a yoga teacher and has over 15 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, with an emphasis in mental health, dual diagnosis, and recovery path. For questions about this workshop, please contact Julie at (916) 201-3937.

PLEASE NOTE:  These classes are not a replacement for 12-Step meetings, a sponsor, or any other part of a 12-Step recovery program. Rather, they provide additional helpful tools that address the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction. (Yoga is often beneficial when used in tandem with other traditional substance abuse treatment methods.)

Minimum of 5 required.  Limited to 10 participants.
